I am very proud to be associated with the second edition of News18 Seshakti
It is the privilege of sharing my thoughts on “an issue of great concurrent relevance for human resource empowerment all over the world.” I am not apologizing to settle the issue just because I am a man. I have been raised by my mother, my grandmother and my grandmother. I have to pay off their debts and hence I am eligible to make my contribution on women empowerment.

I am asking myself a question, who are we to empower women? They are repositories of power. Energy resides in you. It’s just that you’ve discovered your power.
This is no one’s gift. You have earned your due, I will say of late, but it has come to fruition at a time that has always been a moment to be remembered by me. I was the chairman of the Rajya Sabha after it was passed. But what will be the impact? Women will also be affected in that number. This is the least certainty.
The number of women will be more. They will be part of policy making. They will be a part of decision-making.
There will be debate, discussion, discussion. And they’ll bring big experience to the table. They know primarily how to promote human resources.
They have nurtured all the men, most of them making nuisance since childhood and then. Some are very cruel but they never give up hope, patiently they oppress there in extreme activities. They gave us nature and so I am speaking correctly in front of you. I am repaying the loan.
What does democracy mean? Democracy means one party comes to power. Democracy means the development of a system that allows all of us to harness our talents, realize our dreams and aspirations, and improve the most important element of humanity, fifty percent of humanity’s women.
What I see at present, both at home and outside the country, for those who are challenged, who are vulnerable and some people have the courage to call women a weaker gender, is a difficult sight to behold. They are very wrong.
