While 57 stations are under redevelopment, several new projects have been launched across the state. An investment of Rs 56,000 crore is planned for the railways. read more
Godda MP Nishikant Dubey was present on the occasion through video conferencing at Rail Bhawan while Anant Kumar Ojha, a member of legislative assembly from Rajmahal in Jharkhand, attended the programme at Sahibganj railway station. Both the leaders appreciated the railway initiative initiated by the railway minister. Mr Dubey noted that trains did not run at Giridih railway station, built 140 years ago, till the Modi government took over. He emphasized that this development along with the new service has provided an opportunity to the people of Jharkhand to connect with the three important Shakti Peeths – Kamakhya, Tripura Sundari and Kalighat – as a special gift on the occasion of Navratri.
