The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of ken-betwa river linking national project in Madhya Pradesh on December 25, on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will visit Madhya Pradesh on December 25, on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At around 12.30 pm, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Khajuraho.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of ken betwa river linking national project, the country’s first interconnected project under the National Perspectives Plan. The project will provide irrigation facilities in various districts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and will benefit lakhs of farmer families. The project will also provide drinking water facilities to the people of the area. With this, hydropower projects will contribute more than 100 MW to the green energy sector.
