.On August 29, 2024, a bilateral meeting was held between Shri V Srinivas, Secretary, DRPG and DG, NCGG, and Mohammed Nasih, Chairman, Civil Services Commission, Maldives, which strengthened the modalities of implementation of the India-Maldives Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for providing training to maldivian civil servants for a period of five years. Members of the Civil Services Commission of The Maldives, senior officials of DARPG and NCGG were also involved in the process.

On August 9, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), Government of India and the Civil Service Commission of maldives, Maldives, maldives for skill development programme of 10 Maldivian civil servants in Male, Maldives. India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Maldives Foreign Minister Mr. Musa Jamir renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the period 2024-2029 as part of the Development Partnership Dialogue between the two countries.

In a total of 32 skill development programmes in field administration for the civilian employees

In 2024, the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) achieved remarkable milestones by fulfilling the responsibility of training a total of 10 civil servants, including permanent secretaries, secretary generals and high-level representatives, in a total of 32 skill development programmes in field administration for the civilian employees of the Maldives. 8, 2019.

Acknowledging the success of this collaboration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives requested that the MoU be renewed for another five years. This new partnership will enhance the capabilities of The Maldives’ civil servants in public policy, governance and field governance and further strengthen relations between India and the Maldives.

 

The CSC had agreed to hold special programmes for the mid-level civil servants


The CSC had agreed to hold special programmes for the mid-level civil servants and senior civil servants of the Maldives keeping in mind the needs of the Maldives. CSC Maldives has requested to prepare special programmes on specific topics for which the NCGG will design the need-based module. In 2024-25, five (5) programmes will be held targeting a total of 175 government employees.
