The one-week event will cover programmes in New Delhi, states/UTs and all districts from December 19 to 24.

A nationwide campaign to address public grievances and improve service delivery will be held in Gaon Ki O from 19th to 24th December 2024 in all districts, states and union territories of India. Prasanna Gaon Ki Ore is a decentralized version of The Special Drive 4.0, conducted by the Union Ministries/Departments and PSUs from October 2 to 31, 2024.

More than 700 district collectors will participate in the drive and officials will visit tehsil and panchayat samiti headquarters. For the third time, the Government of India will organise a national campaign to address public grievances at the tehsil level and improve service delivery. Sushasan Gaon Ki Ore Campaign will create a national movement for good governance that will inspire future generations.

It will be a dedicated portal on which district collectors will upload progress along with good governance practices and video clips during the preparation and implementation phase.

During the implementation phase, the District Collectors will also share the following information on the dedicated portal to be resolved between December 19 and 24, 2024.

On December 23, 2024, a workshop on district-level innovations will be held under the chairmanship of district collectors in each district. read more 

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has announced the receipt of the prestigious National Panchayat Award for the assessment year 2022-2023. The award serves as a benchmark of excellence by recognising the exemplary efforts of panchayati raj institutions across the country towards inclusive and sustainable development at the grassroots level. The award ceremony for the National Panchayat Awards 2024 will be held on December 11 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, where Hon’ble President Smt. Draupadi Murmu will present the awards to the awardees/ recipients.

Reflecting the massive achievements in grassroots governance and community development, 45 people have been selected in different categories this year. These categories include Deendayal Upadhyaya Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar, Nanaji Deshmukh Shreshtha Panchayat Sat Vikas Puraskar, Gram Urja Swaraj Swatantra Panchayat Award, Karbonn Neutral Special Panchayat Award and Panchayat Kshatmata.

The NMDFC has supported over 24 lakh families through concessional financing, while DICCI focuses on nurturing entrepreneurial talent within marginalized populations. The MoU outlines goals such as creating awareness about entrepreneurship, providing credit support for self-employment, advocating for sustainable policies, and inspiring the youth to pursue careers in entrepreneurship.
Officials from both organizations pledged to work together to empower individuals to become employers rather than job seekers, aiming for sustainable socio-economic development.
