Transformative power of 5G technology for the betterment of rural communities

The 5G Intelligent Village Initiative responds to the need for similar technological advancements by harnessing the transformative power of 5G technology for the betterment of rural communities. The challenge of the proposals “From communication gaps to smart solutions: 5G network design for rural innovation – 5G intelligent villages” aims to address critical pillars such as agriculture, education, healthcare, governance and sustainability. The following proposed village locations:

: Dharmaj, District Anand, Gujarat

: Ramgarh aka Rajahi, District Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh

: Anandpur Jalbera, District Ambala, Haryana

 : Bajargaon, District Nagpur, Maharashtra

 : Bhagwanpura, District Bhilwara, Rajasthan

: Dablong, District Nagaon, Assam

: Raosar, District Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh

: Aari, Guna district, Madhya Pradesh

: Banshkhedi, Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh

: Buripalem, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh.

The proposal may include a plan to set up 5G connections in areas that do not have existing coverage

Proposals have been invited for effective utilization of ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) and giant machine type communication (MMTC) aspects of 5G in selected villages. The proposal may also include a plan to set up 5G connections in areas that do not have existing coverage. The initiative aims to bring together telecom service providers, sensor manufacturers, CCTV suppliers and IoT providers on a single platform to explore and harness the potential benefits of 5G and serve as a hub for research and development in the field.
