The FOC-in-C South complimented the trainees for the successful completion of the training phase and handed over the trophies to the meritorious trainees.

A valedictory dinner for the 106 Integrated Officer Training Course (IoTC) was held at the First Training Squadron (1TS) on May 9 after completion of rigorous sea training. Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Naval Command V Srinivas was the chief guest. As many as 99 marine trainees, including international trainees, have successfully completed training from the portal of 1TS. The FOC-in-C South complimented the trainees for the successful completion of the training phase and handed over the trophies to the meritorious trainees.

Telescope midshipman C Praneeth and midshipman PPK Reddy were awarded the telescope award for best all-round C trainee for the first place in the overall order of merit.
Addressing the trainees, the Chief Guest exhorted them to work hard towards acquiring knowledge and understand the marine environment. He highlighted the qualities of a military leader who must act with utmost professionalism and empathy towards men while maintaining speed, safety and morale. ‘Seva Parmo Dharma’ or ‘Service before oneself’ should always be the objective.

A division was made on May 11 at INS Tir, which was reviewed by Rear Admiral Satish Shenai, CSO (TRG), Southern Naval Command. These officers will now join various frontline naval warships and Coast Guard patrol vessels along the western and eastern beaches. An Assistant Comadt Prusty of the Mauritius Coast Guard has become the first female trainee to complete sea training from Yuggamah 1TS.
