Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education inaugurated the month-long “Summer Fiesta 2024” at The National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi yesterday. Summer Fiesta is a month-long camp that has 30 types of different activities for children in the age group of 5 to 16 years. Bipin Kumar, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy and Chairman, Rashtriya Bal Bhavan and senior officials of the ministry were present on the occasion.
The children to stay curious and explore the things around them.
Addressing an enthusiastic gathering of children and their parents, Shri Sanjay Kumar stressed on the importance of such interesting and innovative programmes in the development of the youth. He said that this kind of course work is equally important along with studies for children to succeed in the future. Summer Fiesta 2024, which runs from May 29 to June 28, 2024, features a number of interesting and innovative activities in the fields of creative and performing arts, science and other fields, which create a sense of interest in every child to explore and learn. During the summer season, weekly special workshops and programmes will be organized on Odissi dance, yoga, calligraphy, music recitation, sports, etc. These workshops are designed to provide children with an opportunity to develop and showcase their skills and talents.
