The MoU outlines for providing testing services for standardization and training on research studies

New Delhi: The Central Council of Research in Ayurvedic Sciences – The Central Council of Research in Ayurvedic Sciences under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India – Captain Srinivasa Murthy, The Central Institute of Ayurvedic Research (CSMCRI), Chennai and the Commissionerate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy (AIIMS) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today. The MoU outlines a collaborative framework for implementing a collaborative project on testing services

The MoU outlines a collaborative framework for implementing a collaborative project on testing services, training delivery and “research studies for standardization and evaluation of toxicity studies for the preparation of selected high-chain drugs”. The primary objectives of the MoU are

To test selected raw drugs and finished products for the purpose of standardization of medicines.

To provide NABL accreditation training guidelines to the laboratories of CIM&H.

To conduct a collaborative research project titled “Research studies for standardization and evaluation of toxicity studies for the preparation of selected higher order drugs” as per the approved proposal as part of the MoU in accordance with the terms, conditions and guidelines of the CCRAS research policy.

According to Professor Ravinarayan Acharya, Director General, Central Council of Ayurvedic Science Research, the MoU between CCRAS and CIM&H has also become a priority for other states in India, they can join hands with KRAS, MoUS for various R&D works.

The MoU is an important step towards strengthening the collaborative efforts between these premier institutions. The expected results include:
