New Delhi: The Ministry of Education will celebrate the fourth anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020 and the All India Shiksha Samagam 2024 tomorrow at the Manekshaw Centre Auditorium in New Delhi.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be attending the event and sharing his experience in the implementation of NEP 2020. Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary and Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region Dr Sukanta Majumdar and Minister of State for Education will attend the event. It will be attended by a number of eminent academicians, vice-chancellors of universities, officials and students

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate several important initiatives of the Education Department such as TV channels dedicated to facilitate the education of various Indian languages, Tamil channels. In 25 Indian languages, 54 primer works have already been done for the students of the elementary classes. The 10 Bagless Days guideline aims to transform education in school into a fun, stress-free experience; Career Guidance Guidelines, a vast library of more than 500 job cards; NMM and NPST in Braille and Audiobook; School Innovation Marathon organized by AICTE and AIM; and graduate qualities and professional skills. Pradhan will also release a number of books and lecture notes aimed at promoting the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) among students and teachers. read more

The All India Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) has been designed as a programme to mark the adoption of the National Education Policy 2020 which will revive the commitment of various stakeholders for its effective implementation and realize the collective strength to achieve shared goals through collaborative efforts. Six panel discussions will be held on various initiatives of the ministry, which will be attended by eminent academicians and stakeholders.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated the first programme of ABSS in Varanasi in July 2022. It was organized with the objective of creating opportunities for all stakeholders to come together for effective, smooth and timely implementation of NEP 2020; establishing strong linkages between various higher educational institutions; and discusses the challenges and clear solutions faced by HEIs
