INS Salki’s visit to Colombo

New Delhi: Indian Navy submarine INS Shalki is on a two-day visit to Colombo, Sri Lanka. The submarine was accorded a ceremonial welcome by the Sri Lankan Navy on August 24.

The Commanding Officer is scheduled to meet Rear Admiral WDCU Kumarasinghe

During the visit, the Commanding Officer is scheduled to meet Rear Admiral WDCU Kumarasinghe, Commander, Western Naval Region, and then meet and inform the Sri Lankan Navy personnel on board the aircraft. Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Defence Force personnel are also scheduled to visit the submarine.

Earlier, The Kalvari class submarines INS Karanj and INS Bhagir had visited Colombo in February 2024 and June 2023 (to celebrate The International Day of Yoga). read more
