As you are aware, the notification has been issued as per the public notification issued on May 13, 2024 regarding the issuance of admit cards for the CUET (UG) 2024 examination to be held in CUET offline (Pen and Paper) mode.
It is to be noted that due to unprecedented administrative reasons, the examination centres for the CUET (UG)-2024 examination in Delhi have been changed.
Candidates appearing for the CUET (UG) 2024 examination in Delhi on May 16, 17 and 18 will have to visit the official website of CUET (UG)-2024 i.e. https://exams.nta.ac.in/ the revised admit card indicating the new examination centre from CUET-UG/. :
The update will be applicable only for candidates appearing for the exams on May 16, 17 and 18 in Delhi. The pre-decided time and admit card will be valid for the candidates appearing for the examination at centres outside Delhi.
The admit card/city information slip will be issued separately for the CBT mode examination to be held on May 21, 22 and 24, 2024.

The CUET (UG)-2024 examination started on 15/05/2024 at various places in the country and abroad. A total of 11.4 lakh candidates were scheduled to appear for the exam at 2,157 centres across 379 cities on the first day of the exam this year. Yesterday, the attendance rate in the examination was more than 75%.
CUET (UG)-2024 was conducted in NTA hybrid mode for about 13.48 lakh candidates who selected a combination of 57,95,211 subjects using both CBT and pen and paper formats. Of these, 53,91,227 or about 93 per cent were tested in pen and paper mode. On the first day, NTA successfully completed 25,91,014 combination tests and completed 44.71% of the CUET (UG) exams.
A well thought out plan was made for this year’s exam so that the candidates who have selected multiple subjects stay at the same centre. The first two shifts were held in the same examination hall to avoid any inconvenience. Apart from this, adequate breaks were provided between shifts for the convenience of candidates who had selected multiple subjects.
Apart from this, the NTA had made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of the examination. Adequate examination officers were deployed across the country and abroad to conduct the CUET (UG)-2024 examination smoothly and impartially.
This year, the exams are being conducted in pen and paper mode in subjects where more registrations have taken place. As a result, the number of days being tested has come down significantly. Compared to last year, this year the exam is being held in eight days, while this year the examination is being held in eight days.
A number of measures have been taken to support the candidate this year. The exam schedule was announced in advance and efforts were made to allot centres to the candidates near their residences. All scheduled candidates have been provided with centres as the first choice in their respective states.
CUET (UG) provides single window opportunities to students seeking admission in any central university (CU) or other participating institutions (including state universities, deemed and private universities) in the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas to help establish a better relationship with the university. The first day (15 May 2024) of the CUET (UG)-2024 exam was conducted smoothly at most centres in India and Dr Zularscher said.
