General Elections for Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana Legislative Assemblies, 2024 – Election Date Changed in Haryana and Counting of Votes in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana
The Election Commission of India had announced the schedule for the general elections to the assemblies of Jammu and Kashmir
Haryana through a press note no. Eci/PN/128/2024 The polling dates for Jammu and Kashmir (phase III) and Haryana on August 16, 2024 were fixed for October 1, 2024 (Tuesday), 04.10.2024 (Friday) and the date of completion of the election process on 06.10.2024 (Sunday).
2. National political parties, state political parties and the All India Bishnoi Mahasabha have received representations from the People of Haryana’s Bishnoi community to protest against the mass movement to Rajasthan to participate in the centuries-old Asoz Amavasya festival celebrations later. This could deprive a large number of people of voting rights and reduce voter participation in the general elections to the haryana assembly.
