Education Minister to meet Singapore PM, Deputy PRIME Minister and senior leaders

The Education Minister will meet his Australian counterpart to promote cooperation and coordination in important areas of mutual interest in the field of education.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will visit Singapore and Australia from October 20 to 26 to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of education. The visit is expected to promote cooperation, participation and coordination in important areas of mutual interest in the field of education.

During his two-day visit to Singapore, Dharmendra Pradhan will address the Indian diaspora on May 20. The next day Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will call on His Excellency Lawrence Wang, Prime Minister of Singapore. His Excellency Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister; Minister of Education, H.E. Chan Chun Singh; and Foreign Minister H E Vivian Balakrishnan. Shri Pradhan will visit the National University of Singapore which is ranked number one in Asia. He will visit a local secondary school to discuss the scope of syllabus integration with AI in focus. He will meet eminent representatives of academicians, IIT and IIM alumni and discuss ED issues.

He will visit RMIT University’s ‘Discovery to Device’ which is a unique hub for MedTech prototyping and manufacturing. The visit will explore collaborative approaches to the role of industry-educational relations in promoting the commercialization and innovation of medical technology.

Mr. Pradhan will call on Hon’ble Jasinta Alan MP of Victoria Premier and The Minister of Education of Australia, Mr. Jason Claire. He will visit the Innovation Lab and The Center for Nano-Fabrication at Monash University. During his stay in Melbourne, Pradhan will interact with senior academicians of Indian origin.

Pradhan will visit the Auburn Long Day Child Care Centre in Sydney on October 24, 2024, to explore the opportunity of partnership in educating the early child education staff. The Minister will interact with representatives of Innovative Research University (IRU) and join the 2nd Australia India Education and Skills Council.

He will visit Granville Southern Creative and Performing Arts High School on October 25, 2024. Pradhan will visit the site of Macquarie Park Innovation District (MPID), home to more than 180 multinational companies, which facilitates the practical application of research in the fields of telecommunication, digital industry, medical technology and medicine for economic benefit.

He will then interact with indian research students organised by the Group of Eight, australia’s most research-based university.
