CDS General Anil Chauhan visited INS Chilika. Agniveer reviewed the training.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited INS Chilika, a premier training institute of the Indian Navy. The CDS was apprised of the important role of INS Chilka in shaping the future sea warriors of the Indian Navy. A report was provided about the training activities of Agniveer and the analysis of the batches trained till date in Chilika.

Addressing agniveers, the CDS said that implementation of ‘Agneepath Yojana’ is one of the major reforms to maintain a youth profile in service and nation building by providing skilled, disciplined and motivated youth. He called upon agniveers to focus on training to become skilled marine warriors in technology. During the discussion, he answered various questions of agniveers.

The CDS made a brief visit to the training infrastructure to understand about Agniveer’s training in the Navy. He complimented the training faculty for imparting high quality training and building the next generation. Read more
