Addressing agniveers, the CDS said that implementation of 'Agneepath Yojana'
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited INS Chilika, a premier training institute of the Indian Navy. The CDS was apprised of the important role of INS Chilka in shaping the future sea warriors of the Indian Navy. A description of the training activities of Agniveer and analysis of the batches trained till date in Chilika was provided.
Addressing agniveers, the CDS said that implementation of ‘Agneepath Yojana‘ is one of the major reforms to maintain a youth profile in service and nation building by providing skilled, disciplined and motivated youth. He called upon agniveers to focus on training to become skilled marine warriors in technology. During the discussion, he answered various questions of agniveers.
The CDS made a brief visit to the training infrastructure to understand about Agniveer’s training in the Navy. He also trained the training faculty to impart high-quality training and groom the next generation of marine warriors.
