The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the Central Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System (CPGRS) monthly report for May, 2024, which provides a detailed analysis of the types and categories of public grievances and the nature of the settlement. This is the 25th report on the Union Ministry/Department released by DARPG.
The progress of May, 2024 indicates 1,05,991 complaints addressed by the Union Ministries/Departments. Between January and May 2024, the average grievance redressal period in union ministries/departments is 12 days. These reports are part of the 10-stage CPGRAM reform process that was undertaken by DARPGs to improve the quality of disposal and reduce timelines.
The report provides data for new users registered on CPGram through all channels (CPGram portal, PMOPG portal, mobile application) in May 2024. A total of 49486 new users were registered in the month of May 2024 with the highest number of registrations
The report also provides a state-level analysis of complaints registered through the Common Service Centre
The report also provides a state-level analysis of complaints registered through the Common Service Centre in May 2024. CpGrams has been linked to the Common Service Centre (CSC) portal and is available on over 5 lakh CSCs, which are linked to 2.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). In May 2024, 6,011 complaints were registered through the CSC, with the highest number of complaints (2,383 complaints) from Assam and the highest from Uttar Pradesh (831 complaints). It also highlights the major issues/categories where maximum complaints have been registered through CSC. The report also contains the success story of effective grievance redressal.
In May 2024, the feedback call centre collected 71,996 feedback. Out of the total feedback collected, 49% of the citizens expressed satisfaction in resolving their grievances. In May 2024, 49,109 feedback was collected by the Feedback Call Centre for the Union Ministries/Departments.
PG cases were reported on the CPGRAMS portal,
In May 2024, 109889 PG cases were reported on the CPGRAMS portal, pg cases were resolved 105991 and as on May 31, 2024, 81331 PG cases are pending.
A total of 6,011 complaints were registered through common service centres in May 2024.
PG Application:
As many as 17306 applications were received in May 2024 and 18607 applications were disposed of.
As of the end of May, 2024, 23,421 PG applications are pending in the Central Secretariat
Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) – May, 2024
The Department of Revenue, The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs and the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation have been the top performers in the Grievance Redressal Estimates and Indices within Group A for May, 2024.
